Welcome to Interaxon!

We are an Undergraduate Neuroscience Educational Outreach Group founded at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2006 and are affiliated with the UCLA Brain Research Institute (BRI).

Our mission is to create and foster interest, excitement, and curiosity about the brain. We travel to elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools in disadvantaged Los Angeles areas to work with students at schools receiving poor funding in the sciences. We hope to share our enthusiasm for neuroscience by providing underserved students who might otherwise lack the opportunity to learn about the brain a chance to be exposed to the field of neuroscience. We also hold career panels for older students to encourage them to pursue higher education and interest towards careers in science and medicine.
